Online store orders reconciled with what was received

Nuvemshop and Tray are e-commerce platforms. The integration with Openi reconciles the orders placed in the stores: each order enters Nexus by webhook and is matched to the payment the merchant actually received.

The challenge. E-commerce platforms.

In an online store, the order is born on the platform, the payment goes through a payment method (card, Pix or boleto) and the money reaches the merchant days later, already net of fees and, for cards, split into installments. The merchant sells in one place and gets paid in another. Reconciling means answering, order by order: was it paid? How much arrived? What is still to be received? With hundreds of orders a day, that math does not close in a spreadsheet.

Sample data, to illustrate the flow.

How it works. In 3 steps.

  1. 01

Each order comes in by webhook

When an order is created, paid or cancelled in the store, the platform sends the event to a Nexus inbound webhook.

  2. 02

    Payouts are the other source

What was settled to the merchant comes in as a second data source: by file, database or Open Finance transactions.

  3. 03

The rule set matches order and payout

The rule compares identifier, amount and date, and also reconciles an order paid in several installments. What does not match is set aside for whoever runs the operation.

How it runs through the API. In documented calls.

  1. POST /hooks/{slug}

Events reach Nexus through an inbound webhook.

  2. POST /v1/rule-sets/{ruleSetId}/run

The rule set runs and matches the two datasets.

  3. GET /v1/matches

Each pair comes back with a decision and a score.

What stays visible. Set apart for the people who operate.

  • Paid order with no matching payout
  • Amount received different from the order amount
  • Payout with no originating order
