Deposits and withdrawals reconciled and posted to the books

Transfero runs crypto asset deposits and withdrawals across hundreds of bank accounts. Statements arrive through Open Finance, each transaction is classified and reconciled, and the entry goes by API to Athenas, the company's accounting system.

The challenge. Crypto asset payments.

In a crypto asset payments operation, every customer deposit and withdrawal becomes a bank movement in reais: incoming Pix, outgoing Pix and the fees on each one, spread across hundreds of accounts. Closing the books requires knowing what each statement line is (pay-in, pay-out, transfer between own accounts or fee) and posting it to the right ledger account. By hand, that means downloading statement after statement and typing.

    To classify

Sample data, to illustrate the flow.

How it was done. The project, in 3 workstreams.

  1. Bank connection via Open Finance, with the statements of every account consolidated and the fees split out.
  2. Payment initiation regulated by the Central Bank of Brazil, with transactions created and approved via Pix.
  3. Classification with AI and configurable accounting rules, and automatic export of the entries to Athenas.

What stays visible. Set apart for the people who operate.

  • Fees split out of each transaction
  • Pay-in, pay-out and transfers identified
  • Entries logged by account, date and cost center
